PAANDAR 2017: Unforgettable moments that shocked the Madlang People on It’s Showtime

Mary Ann Bardinas December 27,2017 12:36 AM

Throughout its eight-year run, It’s Showtime never failed to top the social media trending lists, especially when they are marking the momentous events in their family – from the joyous occasions to the tear-jerking announcements.

As this year is about to conclude, we’re going to take you back in some of the program’s highlights that left the Madlang People shookt and surprised.

New set of Hashtag members introduced

Seeing nine dashing and talented young men together on-screen is already enough for us to swoon. But what about adding eight more members to the popular Hashtags?

Just in time for the Valentine’s Day, the newest set of kilig ambassadors were presented through a dance number, namely former child star Bugoy Cariño, Joey Marquez’s son Vitto, Pinoy Boyband Superstar contestant Wilbert Ross, model Maru Delgado, CK Kieron, Kid Yambao, Rayt Carreon, and the now deceased Franco Hernandez.

JaDine as new hosts

They’ve been one of the most exciting and loveliest loveteams of this generation. After leaving us all smitten in their last teleserye Till I Met You, many are delighted when it was announced that James Reid and Nadine Lustre were not just having a guesting on that day, but they would be the newest members of the It’s Showtime family.

We may not see them on a daily basis, but their every appearance brings happiness and thrill to their fans and the audiences.

Teddy Corpuz and wife’s on-the-spot wedding

From their perky and extraordinary entries in the past Magpasikat stagings, the dynamic duo of Teddy Corpuz and Jugs Jugueta opted for a sentimental production this year with their partner Vice Ganda.

Unbeknownst to everybody, that day wasn’t ordinary because we were able to witness the surprise yet beautiful second wedding of the Rocksteddy frontman to his wife of 11 years Jasmin. Reminisce the magical moment by viewing the video!

Hashtag Franco’s Untimely Death

Like life, it’s not always rainbows and sunshines for the noontime show. Just when the main hosts attended Anne Curtis and Erwan Heussaff’s wedding in New Zealand, the news of Hashtag Franco Hernandez’s unexpected death due to drowning spread like wildfire on social media.

The 26-year-old up-and-rising matinee idol was in a brief vacation trip in Davao Occidental with fellow Hashtag Tom Doromal and their girlfriends when the accident happened.

His It’s Showtime family, particularly fellow Hashtags, grieved and reminisced their last and unforgettable moments with their friend.

Anne Curtis dreamy post-wedding fete

Anne Curtis made her first-ever TV appearance as Mrs. Heussaff a week after tying the knot with boyfriend of six years Erwan. It’s Showtime hosts serenaded the newlyweds with Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud” and “Perfect” and flashed a video presentation featuring well wishes from the special people in Anne’s life. The couple in return showed the preview of their wedding video prepared by videographer Jason Magbanua.
