After we all got shookt and dumbfounded with all that transpired in the last few episodes of La Luna Sangre, the biggest question on everyone’s minds was: Is it really happening? Jacintha Magsaysay stabs Tristan to death and Sandrino, as well, and the mystical Lady in Red, months after her stunning entrance into the riveting series, had suddenly made her surprising exit—disappearing without trace after finishing her mission of supposedly waylaying the Supremo.

People still doubt, however, if Tristan, Sandrino and Jacintha indeed were gone for good.

For Jacintha, the actress who played the part confirmed it. Yes, Jacintha has made her final bow, says a sentimental Angel Locsin in this video interview. In fact, she stressed, this foregone eventuality was long delayed and necessary in the continuing narrative.

“Actually na-delay na nga nang na-delay pero kailangan na talagang gawin. It was one hell of a ride to play Jacintha,” said Angel.

For many this mysterious character boggled everyone’s minds, leading fans to speculate who she really is—from being a reincarnation of Malia’s mom, Lia, who was also portrayed by Angel to Lia’s long lost twin sister. There have been recent fan talk that Jacintha is actually a 'future Malia' who traveled through time to save her younger self from a devastating end.

But for her, Jacintha is always the hero the Moonchasers needed. “For me kasi Jacintha is a hero. Handa siyang i-sacrifice 'yung buhay niya para sa ikabubuti ng nakakarami,” she added.

And because of this, Angel says goodbye to admittedly one of the most challenging roles she played. “Ma-mimiss ko sya,” she said.
