Golden Buzzer Acts in ‘Pilipinas Got Talent’ Season 6 March 06,2018 12:06 AM

For the past few weeks, viewers witnessed a lot of impressive and jaw-dropping performances during the auditions of “Pilipinas Got Talent.” These show-stopping acts continue to show everyone that Pinoy talent is truly world-class.

Throughout the weeks, a lot of these auditionees received the approval of the judges and advanced to the next round. However, only a few really stood out to Freddie “FMG” Garcia, Angel Locsin, Robin Padilla, and Vice Ganda. These performances had special qualities that made one of the four judges press the Golden Buzzer, a feature that was first introduced last season.

This season, the two hosts finally have the opportunity to press the Golden Buzzer as well. Billy Crawford and Toni Gonzaga have the power to send an act straight to the semifinals. However, they still haven’t chosen an act worthy of that Golden Buzzer. Will they finally find one anytime soon?

In the meantime, let us look back at this season’s four Golden Buzzer acts chosen by the judges that definitely deserve to be seen over and over again!

During the pilot episode, a group of acrobatic hunks from Baguio City named Bardilleranz performed impressive tricks on pull-up bars. Their jaw-dropping act even made Robin, Angel, and FMG stand up immediately after their performance. After receiving positive comments from the judges, FMG pressed the Golden Buzzer and they advanced to the semifinals.

Julius Obero & Rhea Marquez

The Paralympic dance world champions Rhea Marquez and Julius Obero touched the hearts of the judges with their meaningful and inspirational dance routine. The duo gracefully moved to “Somewhere In Time,” composed by John Barry, while showing off their one-of-a-kind talent. They received a standing ovation from Vice, Robin, and FMG.

Angel opted to remain seated because she gave them something else, she pressed the Golden Buzzer and they immediately became one of the semifinalists.

Nocturnal Dance Company

The Quezon City-based group named Nocturnal Dance Company gave a hair-raising and electrifying performance that combined different Filipino folk dances with hip hop choreography. Aside from their precise dance moves, they also showcased Pinoy culture simply by wearing matching barong tagalog and salakot. Robin’s nationalism was proven once again when he decided to press the Golden Buzzer for the dance company, assuring them a spot in the semifinals.

Kristel de Catalina

Single mother from Antipolo, Kristel De Catalina, wowed the judges and the audience with her unique and poignant aerial dance performance using a spiral pole hanging from the ceiling. She gracefully danced to Lea Salonga’s version of “I Dreamed A Dream,” from the musical “Les Misérables.” Her spellbinding performance, which was dedicated to her six-year-old son named Troy, received a standing ovation from Robin, Angel, and FMG. Vice remained seated because he gave her something more special, he pressed the Golden Buzzer and she immediately advanced to the semifinals.
