We first knew him as the enigmatic Papa Chen Sy in the 2011 Kim Chiu-starrer family dramedy My Binondo Girl.

Since then, Richard Yap turned out to be one of the most in-demand father figures both in Kapamilya teleseryes and the big screen.

The most remarkable among all his paternal portrayals, which is also his breakthrough, was being the strict yet doting Richard "Sir Chief" Lim who fell in love with their nanny Maya Dela Rosa (Jodi Sta. Maria) in the long-running, hit daytime series Be Careful With My Heart.

Meanwhile, his stern daddy persona reached the movies when he was cast as General Wilson Chua in Praybeyt Benjamin 2 and as Wilson Wong Sr. in Mano Po 7: Chinoy.

Now, the seasoned actor is popularly known as Martin Co, the strong-willed and witty businessman and estranged dad to Markus Paterson's Patrick in Sana Dalawa ang Puso.

He may be stereotyped as a serious and always busy father, but Richard is totally different in real life, hailing him as our ultimate #DaddyGoals. Here are the reasons why:

He's an ultimate heartthrob

At 51, it overwhelms him to be considered as one of the bankable leading men in the present, alongside actors who are younger than him.

With his handsomeness, Richard instantly charmed us the first time we saw him as the chef in a Chinese fast-food chain's commercial, which also became his ticket to the entertainment industry.

In his seven-year showbiz career, we found out that he doesn't only got the looks, but he has a flair in acting and singing too.

He's hardworking

Since his schedule got more hectic when he became a full-fledged artist, Richard had to quit his day job in a furniture company where he worked for 22 years.

However, he didn't depend solely to the income he got from his showbiz engagements as the Daytime King ventured to various businesses -- Chinese-themed restaurant, a pet supplies store, and furniture manufacturing.

Well, every good father like him would do anything just to secure the bright future of his family.

He's so affectionate and admirable

Beyond his charming facade and talent, what makes the award-winning actor truly wonderful is his unwavering love for his family.

Far from the phlegmatic personality the father roles he portrays brandish, he is actually expressive of his adoration for his wife Melody and their kids Ashley Sandrine and Cole Dylan, which is evident in his sappy comments and captions on the photos and/or video clips uploaded on Instagram.

He's a millennial (at heart)

Richard might already be a "tito", but the things he does seem to be different from the activities usually done by people of his age.

Like her daughter, who is currently one of the flourishing lifestyle and beauty vlogger of her generation, he now also has his own video blog where fans could get a glimpse of his life behind the camera.

Besides, he even got featured in the Father's Day vlog entry of Ashley last year where he took on the challenge of being her makeup artist. And surprisingly, he nailed it!

He is his children's best buddy

Amidst the grueling demands of his jobs as an actor and an entrepreneur, it's amazing how he can still spend more time with his family.

Richard makes sure to be always present in all the important events in his kids' lives and be with them during their common leisure day, particularly every Sunday.

With their tight bond, it's not surprising anymore why they have developed same interest in pigging out and coffee, and he has grown accustomed in being his first-born's personal photographer for those 'grammable #OOTDs, nooks, and moments.

Here's to the cool Papas out there like Richard. Happy Father's Day!
