After her life was saved twice, Presidential Daughter Aubrey Hidalgo, impeccably portrayed by seasoned actress Ryza Cenon, eventually faced her death on the January 21 episode of FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano that truly crushed not only the hearts and souls of her father, Oscar Hidalgo (Rowell Santiago), and her comrades, but of the audiences as well.

In the past weeks, we have witnessed how the vicious and notorious rebel group led by brothers Tanggol (Joross Gamboa) and Baldo (Rommel Padilla) terrorized the once-quiet barrio of Sto. Niño in order to seize all the men who will serve in Don Gustavo’s (Eddie Garcia) mining business. As Vendetta tried to fight and flee, some of them were wounded with Aubrey getting the fatal shot in the forehead that cost her life.

While emotions were flooding on-screen, it was somehow the same behind the camera as seen on the behind-the-scenes photos posted on the Instagram page of its lead protagonist and director Coco Martin, affixed with the hashtag #SalamatAubrey. The stills of the nail-biting chase might show how serious the actors were in every scene as what their facial reactions and actions suggested, but it was replaced by pleasant smiles and warm hugs every time the reels were not rolling, especially on Ryza’s last day on the set.

In her farewell interview uploaded on the official YouTube channel of Coco, the 31-year-old actress expressed how sad yet grateful she is for the opportunity given to her despite being a new Kapamilya.

Nakakalungkot na mawawala na ako dito. Ando’n na ‘yong may bonding na, mayro’n nang relationship sa bawat isa, para talagang pamilya. Parang iisa kami lahat tapos mawawala ako. Sobrang sad, nakakalungkot. Kung pwede lang na di mawala,” she said.

Sana hindi ‘to ‘yong last na makakatrabaho ko kayo.”

At the same time, Coco also gave her a heart-warming send-off message by posting a photo of them together and wrote on the caption, “Maraming salamat, Aubrey! Suportado ka ng Vendetta sa The General’s Daughter!”

Good luck on your next endeavour, Ryza!
