Most ladies do it by tucking their hair in the ear while slowly facing the camera bearing their most ‘pa-cute’ facial expressions matched with finger hearts or peace signs done in an extremely ‘pabebe’ manner. Before we know it, the “Dalagang Pilipina” Challenge has slowly become the hottest trend on the social media with videos, photos, and memes getting born out of it each day.

As the craze becomes louder, several versions of it have showed up ranging from wacky poses to the most bizarre facial distortions for the sake of fun; making ‘timid’ expressions out of place.

Jacky Corpuz from Halik is known for her demure nature and sweet character. But more than that, she is also a perfect balance of tenderness and toughness; someone who is selfless enough to prioritize the good but also knows how to step into the warzone when needed. These attributes will definitely make her pass the “Dalagang Pilipina” criteria.

Therefore, it is hardly surprising that Yen Santos, the woman behind Jacky’s fictional life, is fearless enough to take on the viral “Dalagang Pilipina” Challenge. In this gallery, Yen shows off the comic side that her Halik co-stars would often attest to. She plays with the camera well by showing off her sultry wink coupled with pouting lips; as if savoring the most glorious ‘pabebe’ moment of her life. She does the finger heart madness right by matching it with an exaggerated pout and closed eyes. Of course, Yen wouldn’t be Yen without her trademark large off-screen grins and smiles which she gamely displays.

Jade Bartolome, the other female lead from Halik, is quite far from the persona of a typical “Dalagang Pilipina”; but who says that Yam Concepcion, the actress portraying Jade’s role, does not have any rights to bring on her very own “Dalagang Pilipina” poses?

Yam, known for her ‘baliw-baliwan’ on and off-screen moments, does the “Dalagang Pilipina” trend with a literal twist (of facial features!). Bashful and reserved can’t definitely be found in Yam’s vocabulary as she distorts her face in the most hilarious way close enough to the popular ‘mukhasim’ expression.

Aside from the two ladies, Halik’s dashing leading men have already given in to the fad as well after getting dared by none other than Yam.

Meanwhile, the clamor for “Dalagang Pilipina” celebrity versions is still on fire and fans are craving to see more. So, can the other Halik stars say yes to the challenge, please?
