With the current rave Kadenang Ginto is getting, it is undeniable that the phenomenal teleserye’s stars get inspiration and guidance not only from the show’s directors, producers and creative team, but also from their fellow actors, as well.

For two cast members who play the vital characters Myrna and Jessa—Aleck Bovick and Sheree Bautista—they mentioned the Kadenang Ginto co-stars they admire, who have since provided them invaluable lessons in the craft, which made them contribute well to the success of the show.

First is none other than award-winning, seasoned actor Ronnie Lazaro, who plays the Bartolome patriarch Kulas, with whom they share a controversial love triangle in the narrative.

Method acting

For Sheree, Ronnie taught her a lot, including a bit of method acting.

“Very professional siya (Ronnie).

Aleck agrees, since she too has learned valuable pointers from the acting luminary.

“Marami kang matututunan sa kanya (Ronnie), beterano na,” she stressed.

And, both were in unison in praising one fellow actress, the viral lead star spread across status updates and news feeds all over, who really has become their role model for professionalism and character delivery.

Confidence building

Dimples Romana, the #DaniGirl we all love playing the celebrated antagonist Daniela, as Aleck says, even builds the confidence of her co-stars.

Sheree also marvels at the way Dimples gets into character by a snap, which she says is astonishing.

But what they both enjoy working for the drama is that all the people involved, the cast and crew, are there to help one another.

Walang ganoon kasi we help each other. So parang tulungan kami, ‘di parang, ‘Ano ba ‘yan, sabaw.’ Hindi kami ganoon sa set,” Shree said.

Aleck confirms this.

“In fairness, talaga, from the cast, crew, director namin, lahat tulungan. Kung ‘di mo ma-memorize agad, ‘Tara tara throw lines tayo.’ Talagang suportahan,” she said.

Like family

She emphasizes that working on the set is just like family bonding time.

“Kasi ‘yung group namin sobrang saya. Hindi siya parang work lang ito. Ano kami rito family. Kaya every time nagte-taping kami, excited kami lagi,” Aleck noted.

As we notice, the success of a show does not merely depend on a renowned director, an award-winning cast, or a team of exceptional writers and creative staff and production crew—it is how the right working environment is achieved, when people are comfortable working with each other, helping each other grow, and treating each other as family.

And for Kadenang Ginto, such success in truly unmistakable.
