Joshua Colet’s breakthrough stints in teleseryes through the years

Coming from a family of actors, showbiz neophyte Joshua Colet is creating a name for himself as he emerges as one of this generation’s rising talents that we should watch for.

In his debut six years ago, he instantly scored a significant role in the stand-alone sequel of the supernatural drama Oka Tokat (or stylized as Oka2Kat) as a part of the main cast comprised by Paul Salas, Makisig Morales, Sue Ramirez, and Jane Oineza. He portrayed Joey, a.k.a. “The Brawn”, the lowly yet physically and innately tough teenager who was able to overcome every ordeal that came his way. He was only 16 years old then.

Precious Hearts Romances Presents: Lumayo Ka Man Sa Akin was his next stint, playing the supporting role Stefano, opposite lead stars Maja Salvador and Jason Abalos.

After that, he decided to pursue first his college education, taking up a course in Tourism at the University of the Philippines – Diliman where he also became a varsity player in judo.

However, the pull of show business is apparently strong for him as he jumpstarted his acting career again by auditioning for La Luna Sangre and was accepted.

Initially, he thought that this would just be short-lived since he was at first bestowed the role of being among the many vampires. Thus, he was delighted after unexpectedly being named as one of the Moonchasers, Leo Nakpil, on the next taping day.

Joshua’s impressive performance in the romance-fantasy drama paved the way for him to join the powerhouse cast of another Precious Hearts Romances Presents offering, Araw Gabi, helmed by Theodore Boborol. He received a call from the latter, advising him to audition, and was given the role of Isaac, the balikbayan bestfriend of Mich (Barbie Imperial).

He was also able to display his ability as an antagonist in his stint on the weekly legal drama anthology Ipaglaban Mo in its “Diploma” episode.

Now, he’s about to mesmerize us anew with his jaw-dropping façade and promising acting prowess as Connor in the upcoming PHR Presentss Los Bastardos, beginning October 15 on Kapamilya Gold.
