EXCLUSIVE: Kristel de Catalina’s interview after her PGT Season 6 The Greatest Showdown performance April 30, 2018 09:01 AM

Sa sobrang ganda ng performance mo, you were able to heal me,”—these were Vice Ganda’s words before awarding Kristel de Catalina her golden buzzer, the one-way ticket straight to the semi-finals. Now, she’s officially the Grand Winner of Pilipinas Got Talent Season 6.

We’ve seen her spiral pole before, which never fails to captivate its audience for its breakaway from the usual straight pole. This time around she increased the difficulty level and added an aerial rope act. Kristel shared that this was new, even for her. Not only did she had to master the skill, she also had to overcome the dizzying and chilling new heights. Luckily, she found her strength in being a single mom.

Napatunayan ko sa buong mundo na kaya kong tumayo sa sariling paa, kahit mag-isa lang ako.” Aside from her world class talent, this is what the 32-year-old believes to be her edge over the other finalists. But when asked who her biggest competition was, she thinks that they were all deserving of the title “Proud na proud ako sa line-up na ito, mapabilang lang dito ay masayang-masaya na po ako.”

Of course, Kristel dedicated her win to the people who supported her and God who gave her this gift. But most importantly, this was for her adorable six-year-old only son, Troy. She plans on using the cash prize for his education and securing a stable future for their small family.
