As the spookiest time of the year is just around the corner, Star Magic brought forth its grand Halloween Ball, Black Magic, on Sunday, October 20, at the Grand Ballroom of the Marriott Hotel, Resorts World Manila.
With Star Magic artists flaunting their oddest, scariest costumes, which were pegged from their favorite movies or choice mobile games or anime, the Black Carpet of the Black Magic Ball was definitely a fascinating, spine-chilling sight.
As the Halloween Ball transpired, the night’s major awards were given: Metro Magazine’s Best Male and Female Transformation were given to Enzo Pineda who came as Beetlejuice, and Kira Balinger who appeared as Harley Quinn.
Male and Female Best in Costume Award went to Kathryn Bernardo, who stunned everyone as Poison Ivy, and Daniel Padilla, who startled us all as Hector from the animated film “Coco.”
The Most Creative Costume Award went to Maymay Entrata and Edward Barber, who made a jaw-dropping representation of the “One Punch Man” anime characters Saitama and Genos.
Funniest Costume went to Zeus Collins, who made the cutest appearance of a man-sized Dora.
And, no one else made us scream out loud than Gillian Vicencio, who donned the same “Eerie” character she portrayed in the film and won the Scariest Costume Award.
Who else can win Sexiest Costume than the one who would wear a Wonder Woman costume, and she is none other than Heaven Peralejo!
Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil were adjudged with the Best Couple Costume for their impressive pristine looks as the “White Chicks.”
And, the award for the most “WTF” costume of the night went to Dimples Romana for her mesmerizing version of Maleficent.
Myx VJs Aya Fernandez and Robi Domingo led the night as they hosted the Black Magic 2019, with Aya transforming into a fierce and scary vampire and Robi coming as Berlin from “Money Heist.”
