Ever wonder what our Kapamilya stars have to go through before claiming the fame they’re savoring now? Discover the journey through this Star Magic docu!

As we watch television and browse through magazines, some of us probably ponder how celebrities have become who they are now and the journeys they’ve gone through before arriving at their current positions.

Thus, for the first time ever, the premier talent agency in the country handled by ABS-CBN – Star Magic – is giving you, our beloved Kapamilyas, the exclusive access to the exciting yet painstaking process of the aspirants included in the latest batch of Star Magic have to undergo – auditions, workshops, trainings, and challenges. This is through an eight-part documentary entitled The Journey To Star Circle hosted by top loveteam Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla that will be uploaded on their official Facebook and YouTube accounts for eight consecutive nights.

The first episode dubbed “Beginnings” commenced with KathNiel taking us to a trip down memory lane by showing some of their old photographs and imparting little background stories behind those.

They went on to narrate how Star Magic started and how it still continues to fulfill its mission of discovering and developing the possible next big thing in the local entertainment scene. Of course, this wouldn’t be complete without the appearances of some of our favorite Kapamilya stars!

In 1992, then program director Johnny Manahan and ABS-CBN Executive Freddie M. Garcia came up with the idea of establishing the Talent Center, which became the network’s “stable” for up-and-coming artists and spawned to the highly-successful youth-oriented show Ang TV. This also turned out to be the springboard of the high-flying careers of some of some of the seasoned actors we look up to at the present, such as Claudine Barretto, Jolina Magdangal, John Prats, Patrick Garcia, among others.  In 1995, they began introducing groups of beautiful and talented budding artists called Star Circle.

Intensifying our nostalgic feels are a few of our favorite Kapamilya stars – who made us laugh with their funny reactions to their respective throwback photos shown to them and then imparted a brief backstory behind those.

For over 25 years, the notable talent arm of ABS-CBN remains unstoppable in their quest for the country’s next superstars, as they unwaveringly accommodate audition tapes, emails, calls, and online applications every day from Filipino aspirants here and abroad. This only shows that Star Magic firmly believes that we have still Kapamilyas out there who are just waiting for their innate ‘magic’ to be discovered and fully unraveled.
