He might be despised by viewers of the primetime series The Killer Bride because of being a domineering and strict uncle to lead protagonist Camila (Maja Savador) and a treacherous scion of the Dela Torre clan. But top-caliber character actor Cris Villanueva is actually a doting, cool, and supportive patriarch to his family, as how his beauty queen daughter Zara Carbonell revealed in their recent appearance on Magandang Buhay together.
Unlike other children who are intimidated by their fathers, she disclosed that they treat each other like ‘barkada’, which she credited to how their parents invested on having open communication lines among them. This allowed her and her siblings to air their sentiments and needs and share their struggles and experiences, as well as seek their advice without hesitations.
Moreover, they also imparted how Cris reacts whenever there are guys who would woo her and how supportive he was when she finally decided to move out in pursuit of her career and personal growth.

Thus, she has nothing but gratitude with how her parents raised her to become who she is at present.
So, thank you,” she sincerely uttered and gave him a side hug.
